Sneha Foundation Research and Study
Many children discontinue education
as parents cant afford expenses, so children either waste their time wandering around or join illegal activities to earn odd jobs. Further, as
they grow older it becomes the biggest challenge to society. It leads to an increase
in the crime rate and social disturbance if not supported by the organization.
Sneha Foundation
council these children and encourages to join our organization. These children
would first join us for education. We encourage and provide all learning tools
and try to help them remove any obstacles that they are facing during this
early age.
Challenges:
As you read
this, many children living in slums struggle to access education and have
limited opportunities for learning. They often have to work to provide for
themselves and their families, and lack access to basic healthcare. The cost of
school supplies like books and paper is prohibitively expensive, and they may
not have access to additional materials or resources to practice their reading
and writing. They miss out on the benefits of a full education, as regular
school is not enough for them and they lack exposure to society.
Solutions:
At Sneha
Foundation, we strive to alleviate the burden on families living in poverty by
providing food kits so that their children do not have to work to support them.
We also offer regular medical check-ups to help children stay healthy and
strong, and conduct monthly discussions on healthy habits at our center. Our
education program includes providing education kits with necessary supplies
like notebooks and writing materials to children to ensure they can make the
most of their learning opportunities. We recognize that children with higher
potentials require more resources for their overall development and therefore
we have a library that provides children access to books and other references
for study and reading about the social and cultural values of India. We also
provide evening classes for all subjects to help children learn and understand
better. Sneha Foundation allows children to participate in special celebrations
hosted by well-known organizations and people of Bhavnagar and organizes study
trips to places of cultural and historical significance. Our goal is to support
the overall development of children and we invite you to visit us and join us
in this noble cause of serving society.
Impact:
Since its inception, children have
developed their skills and joined further study. Now started working in various
companies and earning and living with dignity.
